When Whidbey Furniture first opened its doors in 1948, occupying just 3,500 square feet it offered its customers furniture, appliances, toys and some of the first televisions on Whidbey Island.
Established and operated by the Eelkema family until its purchase August 2007 by the Walker Baran family, it has been a friendly, reliable resource for generations of Whidbey Islanders, including countless families brought to the island by the U.S. Navy and the Marines. It has also been a destination store for customers from the outlying islands and mainland.
Presently, Whidbey Furniture boasts over 25,000 square feet of display room offering stylish, affordable, furniture with choices from vendors such as Broyhill, Flexsteel, Lane, Rowe, Zocolo, American Upholstery and more. There are also excellent options for mattresses from Simmons, Tempur-Pedic and Englander, as well as an assortment of organic mattresses and bedding from Natura.
Many items are in stock and may be available for immediate delivery, or customers may take advantage of special ordering furniture tailored for their unique
needs.
It is our goal to continue the great service and furniture selection, which have made Whidbey Furniture Whidbey Island’s number one furniture store and destination resource for home furnishings for over 60 years.
